Constant Burning In Tip Of Penis, Inflammed Testicles. Prescribed Cipro Flaxin. Synmptoms Persists. Reason?

I started having a constant burning in my penis tip while at work. Than it spread to my inner thigh especially when sitting long periods. On the flight home as I work over seas it started alternating between testicals. I went to a doctor who prescribed me cipro flaxin 500mg for 2 Dailey for a week for possible bladder or prostate infection by the end of the week I felt great. Had a few beers a couple days later and it kicked back in. went back to a doctor who prescribed me the 5 tablets of sti one dose medication even though I explained I hadn't been active in like 5 months and it was with my wife as I have been working non stop. So I took them anyways and the symptoms remained. I then went to a different doctor who did a digital rectum exam and a urine culture. He said my prostate was inflamned and prescribed me 2 weeks more of cipro. I am currently back at work but my irine culture came back fine. I am on day 5 of cipro and still have burning in my penis tip with testical pain and occasionally lower back and lower abdominal pain. It gets much worse when sitting to long and I have noticed I always dribble after urination and there is sometimes water or urine that sits in my urethea for no reason but not discharges. Is this normal for inflamned prostate? Nothing showed up in my culture why is the cipro not working?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Your problem seems to be due to prostatitis only.
If you can say more about urine examination results for the presence of pus cells, it will be more informative. Sometimes consummation of good quantity of water will ease your condition.

Culture of semen and prostatic fluid will be more useful to decide the treatment.
Sometimes your wife also have to be treated simultaneously. If Tablet Ciprofloxacin is not working means you need some alternative antibiotics for which the organisms are sensitive and susceptible. Repeated prostatic massage also will be helpful.
Get well soon.
