Constant Chest Tickle, Coughing, Worsens When Lying Down At Night. Had Tonsils Removed. What Could It Be?
I've had a constant tickle in my chest for the past month and a half since i go my tonsils removed causing me to cough every few minutes. It gets worse when I lie down at night time and then again at morning time. When I breath or laugh the tickle sometimes gets worse causing me to break into a fit of coughing. What could it be?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Cough present after removal of tonsils i.e.related to removal. In such type of cases this type of cough may be due to. 1 Allergic bronchitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination and clinical history. In this type of cases usually whistling sound present during breathing. 2 May be some foreign particle impacted in lungs or respiratory airways. Diagnosis can be confirmed by bronchoscopic examination. 3 Pleural effusion , diagnosis can be confirmed by X ray chest and physical examination. In my opinion consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion regarding foreign body in air ways. Good luck. Dr. HET
