Constant Foggy Headed And Anxiety. Diagnosed Less Operating Of One Ear. History Of Damage To Ears Due To Chemical Exposure. No Relief From Valium. Suggestions?

Hi - I have had an 'inner ear condition' for many years. It was caused by a chemical exposure which apparently damaged the ear nerves. I finally found a neurologist who ran a series of tests and found that the right ear is operating at 35% less than the left (less what I don't remember). This has resulted in a constant foggy headed feeling and anxiety problems. Now that I'm getting older, the symptoms are getting worse. I know this is a weird condition, but I'm just looking for any leads. I take 2mg valium to reduce the spacey feelings and it works a little bit, but not enough. I've heard of people taking meclizine and things like that, but they don't seem to help. ANY suggestions are appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Bruce

Hello,
you need not worry for the hearing loss .
You should not take valium tablet for long as it has its own complications .
You need to get done ENT examination and if required then get done Pure tone Audiometry(hearing tests) to know the status of hearing in a quantitative manner that how much is the hearing loss in each ear.
Then you can use if required a hearing air, if its nerve deafness and need medical or surgical management if there is conductive deafness. So it can be treated.
