Constipation, Blood In Stool, Gas, Cramping, Taken Acid Reducer. Pellet-type Stools

I am a 54 year old male. I have been constipated and now have bleeding in my stool occasionally. I also have lots of gas and some cramping. I have taken an acid reducer and cut down on soda intake but still am having some bleeding. My bowel movements are easier now but still start out with small pellet type stool and that is when I usually have the bleeding.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there..

I would advise you to visit a gastroenterologist who might do a physical examination and order for certain investigations like gastroscopy and colonoscopy..some blood investigations, stool routine examination.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
