Constipation, Eating Regularly

I was broke for a little while and didn t have much food to eat at all. At first I thought I hadn t had to go because of the lack of food, but during the few days where I didn t have food I was constipated and after a day I finally passed a very small stool that was hardened and took a while to get out. I thought that was it but now that i ve been eating regularly again I seem to be constipated again. I don t know if the stool would be too big to pass with a laxative or not and was wondering if I should even take one. I m not sure what to do and I don t have the money to see a doctor.

Hi.
Looking at your case I think you don't need to worry. Take a laxative tablet or syrup that contains lactulose or sodium picosulphate. Take two tablespoons full of lactulose three or four times a day and I hope you will be relieved soon. Even if still it does not get relieved after a day or so, then you can go for an enema.
I hope it solves soon.
Take care!
