Controlled IBS With Exercise, Probiotics And Diet. No Relief With Bentyl And Colonic
I have had IBS for years and have controlled it with lots of exercise, probiotics and diet. Something has revived it in a big way and I have had no changes to any of those. I have a prespriction for Bentyl but it is not helping. I hurt when I eat or don't eat. I actually went and got a colonic but no real relief. The only time I didn't hurt at all was when I was on prozac which I refuse to go back on but apparently it calms the colon muscle. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. It needs to be treated with the anxioltics also. There could be some other factors present other than the I.B.S. like h.pylori infection, gall bladdre infection, or stones etc. I advise you to consult a gastro enterologist for diagnosis and treatment. You can have the prozac along with the domperidone. Avoid taking more of spices, junk foods, and oily foods to avooid the irritation of the bowel. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and and protein rich foods to provide the nutrition for recovery of the gut. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
