Cough Reappeared After Taking Asthalin Syrup And Allegra And What Are Their Side Effects?
Hi, my son is three years old and is suffering from the cough from past 4 months.
Doctor has detected sinusitis and has referred him with Asthalin Syrup (3ml, 3 times in a day) and Allegra (3ml, 2 times in a day). He got relieved after 5 days after it. But he again started coughing after 15 days. We are very much worried for him. Are there any side effects of these medicines. Please help

Asthalin & allegra are bronchodilator and anti allergic respectively .
When your son used these drugs he got relief because there was bronchoconstriction and allergy .
This is very common in children in this age group.
The important point is that these symptoms recurs frequently so need not to worry.
As you mentioned that cough recurs so need not to worry and you can use safely these drugs without any side effects.
Only remember one thing that once child get relief , stop drugs and restart whenever allergy .
Once child will attain the age of 15 -16 years he will not get these attacks due to sex hormones.
Avoid dust , fumes, powder, hay , mite pollen mold , sudden increase or decrease of temperature .
