Cough, Slight Fever, Indigestion, Pain Under Rib Cage. Symptoms Cause Of Concern?
Hi my name is XXXXX about a week ago I began to get sick. It started off with a cough and a slight fever . But lately it has gotten worse. I am unable to hold down any liquids or foods. With every attempt my body rejects it almost immediately. I have pain under my rib cage which I believe may be caused by my constant coughing, and just recently my throat has started hurting. Is this something serious?
Dear Jenny, welcome to HCM.
how old are you?
do you expectorate sputum with cough?
all your symptoms are like a lower respiratory infection.... may be ..a pneumonia !
pl. get urgent medical attention, get labs and Xray chest and start appropriate antibiotics and ancillary treatment.
hope you get well soon and not serious.
good you thought to contact us ... pl. keep me posted on what happens..
Good luck.
hellow jenny, Some investigations like chest X ray, complete blood counts, throat swab culture,ASO Titre etc should be done to diagnose your problem. It looks an acute infection which may be fatal if not treated ASAP. So A broad spectrum antibiotic should be taken with a physicians advice to get cure.Best luck. thanx.
