Could Accutane Intake Lead To One S Urine Smelling Sweet?
Hey! I m on a 40 mg dosage of accutane, and i ve noticed that my urine smells extremely sweet. Usually excessively sweet urine is a sign of diabetes, right? So I was wondering if it s possible that my accutane could be causing the smell at all - or if not, what could be a cause (hopefully, besides diabetes)
Sweet smelling urine is indicative of hyperglycemia and developing diabetes. Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are maple syrup disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, UTI, yeast infection, etc. It is also caused due to intake of certain medications, and supplements.
Get clinically examined. Get blood tests, imaging tests and genetic analysis done. Your treatment will depend on the underlying medical condition diagnosed. You will be treated accordingly. Exercise regularly, maintain healthy weight, avoid alcohol, practice safety in food , drinks and health threats.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
