Could Baclofen, Simvastatin, Tegretol And Meloxicam Intake Cause Itching On The Scalp?

Will I have itching scalp from taking Baclofen 20 mg tab - 2 at night; Simvastatin 20 mg tab - 1 at night; Tegretol 200 mg tab - 2 a day, and Meloxicam 15 mg tab - 1 a day, plus just added Amitriptyline Hcl 1 25 mg tab at night? I just quit smoking 19 days ago after smoking 53 years.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The drugs you have mentioned doesn’t generally cause scalp itching. It could be something else like fungal infection or dandruff. Is there any visible crust or lesions in the scalp? As of now you can try ketoconazole shampoo and wait for symptomatic relief. If no improvement felt, you can consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
