Hello. So my daughter is 15 and she has stomach problems. We have been to about 8 doctors.6 told is they have no idea & 2 said it was H-Plyori but her recent doctor did an upper Gi and found h-ployri but her stomach hurt around the colon area and doesn t have that many chest pains. She took a lot of x-rays,blood work & a CT and still doesn t know what it could be.She could have good days with no pain or a slight pain some days it would last for about 2 hours and she just balls up and crys. This has been going on about 9 years now.Recently it hasn t been that bad but just about every day.A lot of things she eats she said it feels like she has to throw up or use the bathroom. She could go days without eating and when she does it s not much.I have to Make a doctor appointment with a doctor in New Orleans but is it worth going back to a doctor? Is this something we should just let go? Bc nothing is showing up in test.
Hello, I can understand your concern for your daughter's GI symptoms. This symptoms definitely need attention, should not let it go. Yes, there is possibility of H.Pylori infection based on your daughter's symptoms. Upper GI endoscopy with RUT test is confirmatory test for this infection and if infection will be present in this test, she must take appropriate antibiotics for 14 days to cure this infection. Also she need to continue medication for acidity to reduce symptoms. Sometimes, there will be symptoms of indigestion due to H.Pylori related severe gastritis which mandates intestinal digestive enzyme supplementation.
