Could Hydrochlorothiazide Be Causing Pain In Abdomen And Acidity?

Hi Doctor,
I am taking Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg. Now i am feeling little pain backside of my abdomen and acidity at my stomach
Should i continue or not? My health provider gave me 12.5 mg first,and said if pressure is not controlled ,then take 25 mg.Three days i am taking 25 mg.

Hi ,
you forgot to mention details . Diuretic as Anti hypertensive drug should not be used as single drugs and always in combination with others like ACEI ,BB,CCB , etc.
The single drug should be titrated according to patients response n co-morbid condition .If still hypertensive then doses should be increased or combination to be given.
The symptoms which you mentioned may be coz of side effect which needed to be examined .

So in my opinion kindly get reviewed by MD physcian and treated with anti hypertensive drugs accordingly.
