Yesterday afternoon I had a sharp pain which at first felt a little like a period pain but higher than usual, and then, as time went on, rose up to the bottom left of my chest . It was very painful to take anything but shallow breaths, and afterwards my chest ached and I felt generally unwell. I realised I had put my hand just under my left breast to try and ease the pain, and I could feel my heart pumping strangely. I m sure it was a little irregular, and it was really throwing out against my ribs much more than usual. I need somebody s advice - somebody studying medicine, or a doctor . I ve heard that heart attacks are much more painful, but I ve never had anything like this before. It was in the wrong place for period pain, and I m sure it wasn t indigestion . Help?
