Could I Still Be Pregnant Despite Having Nausea And Headache Along With Negative UPT?
I have ovarian cysts, have not gotten my period but have been having the following symptoms:nausea, headaches, light cramping ,sensitive to smells, and been craving specific foods I normally wouldn't eat. I took two hpt and both were negative. Is there a chance I can still be pregnant and tested too soon?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. Not all the ovarian cysts interfere with conception . So your symptoms may or may not suggest pregnancy. - 2 of your pregnancy tests have been _ve.Were they done after 8 days of delay in periods? if not, please repeat it again in proper time/ get blood HCG testing done to exclude pregnancy. - Your symptoms can be present in spite of -ve pregnancy test because of hormonal imbalance caused by the cyst. It can be cured by medical treatment/ laproscopic surgery. Thanks.
