Could OTC Antifungal Medication Help In Curing Severe Burning Due To Yeast Infection?
I have yeast infection and it hurts so bad that I can't even sleep. It just burns. I took an over the counter antifungal medication for it but it isn't showing much. I have to take it for three days, but I don't know if I can bear this for three days. How can I calm the burn? Or should I suck it up and see a doctor?
If you are sure it is a yeast infection - meaning lots of white cottage cheesy discharge and almost more itching than just burning - you are on the right track. In addition to using a vaginal suppository or syringe of cream into the vagina for 3 days, I would also have you smear it all over you outside vaginal walls and labia. other thing to consider is whether you have had an exposure to herpes. Please look with a mirror for sores or ulcers or marks. In general yeast infections don't cause blisters. Also, if there is no change in 3 days, I would see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
