Could A Constant Sensation Near The Head Of My Penis Be Due To Chronic Prostatitis?

Hi, I ve seen a urologist a few times for my issue but still have it. My issue is a constant sensation near the head of the penis. It s like a nerve issue or something and seems to be more present when I m sitting. It does get some relief after urination. I ve had a urine test done, a psa test done and the scope in the urethra. All came back clear and no problems. My doctor thinks it could just be chronic prosastics. Just looking for another opinion.

Hello,

A constant sensation near the head of your penis can be due to chronic prostatitis, but other conditions can also cause similar symptoms. Excessive masturbation, friction, or even soap sensitivity can cause lingering sensitivity.

Avoid excessive or prolonged masturbation and use mild herbal soap. Sexual arousal and anxiety can also cause it. Avoid watching porn. Avoid taking alcohol, caffeine, and spicy foods, as these can worsen symptoms. Get clinically examined to rule out pudendal neuralgia, UTI, ED, overactive pelvic floor muscles, etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
