i took antibiotic drugs for staph.infection 10 days before ovulation.Two weeks after, i experienced inconsistent spotting for about 7 days with a kind moves in my lower belly. can i be pregnant? how long would the antibiotic would have lasted in my system not to affect my pregnancy if iam?

Hi, it would be helpful if you had given the name of our antibiotic. Mostly staph infections are dealt with penicillins, which are antibiotics that are considered safe in pregnancy too. So I dont think it will be an issue to affect the pregnancy,and having had it 10days prior ovulation it will be flushed out within max 12-36hrs out of your system,which is again not an issue for your pregnancy. The movement and spotting as you mentioned are not signs of pregnancy. If you missed your period do take a urine pregnancy test if u have to confirm.thank you
