Could Being Overweight Lead To Increased Heart Rate And Cough?
Every now and then I wake up in the middle of the night with shortness of breathe and at first with a low heart beat then I start panicking and my heart rate goes really fast. I start coughing and breathing in really deep. It really is starting to freak me out. I m slightly overweight, could this be the problem?. I ve been exercising and trying to get the weight off.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it appears to be secondary to the hypertension, edema of the larynx, latent heart failure, or rarely sleep apnoea. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an E.C.G, X ray chest, and other tests for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms theophylline, cifixime, citrizine, phenylephrine , till the diagnosis is established. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
