Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Chronic smoking lead to deposition of black carbon particles in lung. It also lead to damage to lungs and cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

COPD may present with chronic productive (with phlegm) cough with black (carbon) particles in it. Same time get evaluated by Pulmonologist/Physician as black phlegm can also occur in fungal infection.

Wishing her good health and all the best.
