Could Constipation In A Child Lead To Bleeding From Rectum?
Hi, my 3 yr old daughter has always had constipation problems. She has always strolled to poop. But for the past 3 days I have been noticing red blood in her poop. Today she pooped again with great difficulty and there was a little red blood and a considerable amount of mucus. She is fine otherwise, is playful and her appetite has not decreased. She loves her milk and drinks 200ml about 4 times a day

when hard stools are passed during constipation slight bleeding and some mucus are normal.
Give plenty of water and fruit juice, vegetable soup.
Reduce the amount of milk.
You may give milk of magnesia one spoon daily
Dulcolax suppository may be used in case of urgency.
