Could Consumption Of Coffee Have Biased The EKG QRS Axis Reading Results?
I recently had ekg done and the result showed qrs axis reading of 84 and was labeled as abnormal. Cardiologist has scheduled me for a nuclear stress test. I consumed a very strong large glass of coffee right before the ekg. Could this consumption of coffee biased the ekg qrs axis reading results ?
Strong coffee can stimulate heart causing increase in heart rate only.QRS axis depends on overall voltage potential . That will depend on heart wall thickness etc.that is a chronic process . A strong coffee can't change that.you need further testing as suggested by your physician . .hope that will help.
