Could Continuous Menstruation Be Due To The 19 Week Fetus Still Inside?
Madam,
On 29th Jan'11 ive done abbortion after consulting doctor,Since then my mensuration hasn't stop, doctor prescrived medicines for the same but hasn't stop.
yesterday after doctor prescrived again i've done USG and suprised to see that 19week foetus where there,im panic please suggest.
It is very rare to go through your experience. If you had an induced medical abortion and did not have a follow-up sonogram after two weeks as advised always, the continuing pregnancy may have been missed.
Sometimes, with a bicornuate uterus, one horn can bleed while the other horn continues to lodge the fetus. It can be noticed when a scan done. In the current scenario, if you do not have any uterine anomaly and have been bleeding throughout, it is time to have a second opinion about retaining the pregnancy given the several medications used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shanti Vennam
