Could Dark Spots Over Torso Be Due To Bipolar Medications?
I have very small dark red spots mainly over my torso, some are darker than others. I also have some on the front top of my legs. They are mainly on the front and side of my torso with very few on by back. When I was 10yrs old I remember having these same spots on the back of my hands and when I scratched them they just kept bleeding for about 30 mins. I have no relevant medical history however I am taking medication for bi-polar which has been very effective. Just in case these spots may be due to this. I am 56 now and whilst I have always had some now they just seem to be increasing in number.
Black coloured spots since childhood and increasing number. Relieving by bipolar medication indicates it's life long problem with genetic influence. It may be LPP...Lichen planus pigmentosus. It can control but not curable. Don't worry about this. Consult well-experienced dermatologist, he can guide and give the correct solution.
