Hi good day I used micropill and I miss taking for two days on the third day I take 2 pills in the morning and then I take another one on the evening after that the next day I have spoting for 3 days but still I continued taking the pills and finish it but my period didnt came and it s been 6 days now I dont have my period am I pregnant? Plss help me.
Micropill is an oral contraceptive containing Norethisterone and ethinyl estradiol. These pills need to the taken regularly. However, in all missing three pills in a cycle are permissible and still the protection is not lost.
After missing the two pills, you have consumed two pills on the third day in addition to which can make up with the missed pills. These additional double dose may cause some breakthrough bleeding, which you had after three days.
However, you have missed period for 6 days. Though it is possible due to additional double dose of pills, it is safer to look for any evidence of pregnancy. You have following options:
1. Perform pregnancy test on overnight morning first urine sample.
2. Alternatively you may opt for Beta hCG test.
I hope this provides a correct guideline.
