Hi ! I m 36 year old woman trying to conceive . first child is 14 yr old. As it my second marriage trying to conceive from 2 years. This time i have missed my periods from four days . Pregnancy test says negative. As on now i am not on any kind of medication or treatment from two months. Please advise.
The possibility of pregnancy is not completely ruled out as sometimes the pregnancy can be delayed.(especially if you have irregular menstruation). Please get a serum Beta HCG done which is a blood test which can detect minute and early pregnancy. A value more than 25 is positive and values less than 5 rules pregnancy out.
Since you are planning your pregnancy it would be wise to get basic investigations (like Haemoglobin, fasting blood sugar, thyroid ) tested beforehand as they affect the implantation and sustenance of pregnancy, Also do start taking folic acid supplements to avoid congenital abnormalities.
Hope this helps
All the Best.
