Could Dizziness And Fullness In Head Be Due To Viral Infection?

Dizziness Hi.im a 26 year old female. About 2 weeks ago i suddenly got dizzy/lightheaded followed by a fullness feeling in my head. No headache and no other symptoms.i went to the er and to my drs office and they checked my sugar and ran a cbc everything came back normal.exceot my wbc were slight elevated 12.(something) they saod it must be viral and that it will go away on its own. But should i be worried? Ive never experienced anything like that in my life and it lasted about a week and a half. It really worries me because i have a daughter whos almost 2.is it possible for someone to have a viral infection and have no symptoms other then dizziness and fullness feeling in there head.

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your symptoms,you mght be suffering from viral infection of the nerve for balance(Vestibular nerve) in the inner ear(it is called vestibular neuritis).Dizziness and fullness in the head might occur due to it.

In such a case,you may find relief by taking Anti-vertigo tablets like Betahistine,Prochlorperazine,Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen and Antacid like Rantac.

Don't worry as in such a case,the symptoms would resolve within 7 days.

Also during such episode,drink lots of fluids.Avoid walking in the dark.Avoid exposureto cold air.
