Could Dry Heat Affect Sinuses Leading To Dizziness?

What causes dizziness? Just recently I have had dizziness when laying down and turning my head when laying down. I also get it when standing and sometimes when getting up. Can dry heat affect your sinuses and cause this? It started when the cold weather caused me to turn the heat up. It only lasts a couple of seconds and is not severe.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if dry heat affect sinuses leading to dizziness. Well there can be many reasons for vertigo like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury , certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines . Heat can also cause such effect due to dehydration .I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test, and ECG to confirm the diagnosis. You should take antibiotics as well. For now i would like to suggest you some home remedies drink green tea with ginger thrice a day , keep your self hydrated and drink lots of fluids like juices and water . Avoid sun exposure .
