Could Facial Redness Be Due To A Reaction To Lisinopril?
My doctor added IC Lisinopril 2.5 mg to my other meds which include Potassium Chloride 20mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg and Atenolol 25 mg among others, all taken once daily. The first 30 day course of lisinopril was tolerated without any noticeable reaction. However, I have develop an increasingly bright red rash on my face that came on gradually in the last 4 days. Could this be a reaction to the second course of lisinopril or should I look elsewhere for the cause of this facial redness? YYYY@YYYY or YYYY@YYYY
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM. I have read and understood your concern. Haven taken lisinopril for more than a month without such effects, it is less likely to be due to this drug.Rashes however are among the less common side effects of this drug.I will advise you see the Doctor for evaluation.Possible causes could be allergy, local face irritation, insect bite, fungal skin infection.... Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns Best regards
