Could Fast Beating Heart With Heaviness, Fatigue During Pregnancy Be Due To Reduced Iron Content?

Hi im 28 weeks pregnant. My heart beats fast and feels heavy sometimes. If im doing something or sometimes even when im not doing anything. Im okay when im sitting or laying down or even sleeping. But its usually when im on my feet. its not severe to a point where im vomiting or feeling nauseated. I just feel like i have no energy all of a sudden. But i can be outside and walk down the street and wont feel my heart racing. Also im in toronto ontario and its still very cold/wintery. I just would like to know if its something to do with my iorn because i dont take my materna pills but eat healthy.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
The symptoms you are experiencing is due to anaemia (decreased hemoglobin (Hb%) level in the blood). The most common cause of anaemia in pregnancy is iron deficiency. So,you need to take adequate iron supplements to overcome this.
Take your daily dose of iron tablets.
Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and dates.
If your iron intake is less, your baby will also suffer.So.continue taking iron pills.
Hope you are happy with the answer.
Happy and safe pregnancy.
Thank you.
