Low cortisol level can be dangerous and you shouldn't stop it without the permission of the endocrinologist.
In most of the cases it is a chronic disease and the hyrdrocortisone should be taken long life.
You must restart it with the dose that your doctor prescribed it and discuss with your treating doctor how to change the dose in case of illness, how to monitor the blood pressure and electrolytes.
Hope the information will help. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
