Could Head Heaviness After Exertion Be Due To Cervical Spondylosis?
I am 67 years old. I suffer from heavy head (not headache) after doing exercise. I have mild cervical spondylosis . After 45 years of age I have suffered from hypertension and had been for medication for High Blood Pressure. From 3 years I have been taking anti-asthmatic inhaler and continue to take it as of today. My Blood Pressure stays normal 80/120 these day but still I feel heavy head after exercise. Is it due to cervical spondylosis or due to any neurological issue. Can anything be done since I am keen to continue my exercise routine.
I have been through your query and completely understand your concern .
*exercise does increase your blood pressure to a certain extent. It would be good if you measure your B.P during such episodes of headache. If you notice that B.P is above 160/90 then certainly it is a cause for concern.
* If the B.P doesnt rise to such level then the reason for your headache could be strain to your neck muscles. spondylosis aggravates the headache. Hence try to avoid such exercises which put lot of stress. Try doing neck exercises which relieve spondylosis.
You shall be fine sir/madam.
Hope i have helped you. TC thanks. with Best regards Dr.Suhas Chauhan
