Could Heavy Bleeding With Red Clots And Abdominal Cramping Be Due To Miscarriage?
I was cramping badly. Bleeding heavier than normal too. I got into a hot bath. And I had a thick brown clump of what felt like old elders glue. It was a little bloody but was old blood colored--slight brown tint.is this from a miscarriage? Is this normal? Am I freaking out way too much? Help me ASAP.
Hello dear Understand your concern Yes heavy bleeding with red clots and abdominal cramping are presumptive symptoms of miscarriage during the pregnancy. Other causes: ectopic pregnancy and choriocarcinoma. I advice you to consult the gynecologist and diagnose above cause by proper investigation: 1. Missed abortion: should be check by vaginal examination and USG scan. In USG scan , it is diagnosed by seeing fetal heart beat, yolk sac and underdeveloped fetus. Should be removed by evacuation or D & C as early as possible to prevent complication. 2. Ectopic pregnancy: should be diagnosed by USG scan and if found should be treated by laparoscopic surgery 3. Choriocarcinoma: USG and serial blood HCG titer help to diagnose molar pregnancy and should be treated by surgery plus chemotherapy.
Take proper rest, meftal spas for pain, antibiotic and healthy diet with iron supplements. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
