Hi, Increase in liver enzymes and liver inflammation (hepatitis) is one of the side effects of statin medications. Your liver tests are currently mildly elevated and if I was seeing you as a patient, I would recommend repeating your blood tests in 3-4 months to ensure that they are not continuing to go up. Meanwhile, if you notice any abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or light stools, itching, muscle pains that do not go away, these could be due to atorvastatin. I would recommend at that time you stop the medicine and call your physician right away. I would also discuss with your physician your concerns about the liver tests and atorvastatin.
