Could History Of Meningitis Cause Disturbance In Vision?
My 11 year old son has a history of pneumococcal meningitis at age 5. He has had vision disturbances ever since. He sees blotches of color in his field of view. He knows what colors should look like in objects but says there are floating blotches of all colors in front of whatever he looks at. Today we watched a 3D movie. When we went outside after he was still wearing the 3D glasses. He was amazed that while wearing the glasses he could see normally !!! He said the blotches were all but gone!!! I have had him to eye specialists and neurologists to no avail. Any idea what to do for him?
for meningitis he must have been treated properly. after full treatment there should not be any eye problem. for present problem you can get him examined by eye doctor. give him proper counseling.
