Could I Be Pregnant With Light Bleeding After Sex?

Hi. I had unprotected sex on the 12th of this month. I was on my period. For the last week or more, I've been having light bleeding or spotting everytime I wipe, and several times I had really stringy discharge. And I'm also eating a lot more than usually, like overly hungry. Could I be pregnant?

Hi,
You are absolutely safe as far as conception is concerned since the intercourse happened during the menstrual cycle. The most likely cause of the spotting could be the breakthrough sometimes associated with ovulation. Your symptoms do not relate specifically to pregnancy. Anxiety, please remember, can disturb the cycles due to creation of hormonal imbalances. Please wait for your next period if you are regular with your cycles and plan further management only if it gets delayed. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
