Could Intense Pain In Left Calf Be The Side Effect Of Yaz?

I am currently in a cast for a broken fibula (it s been almost 4 weeks) and I just started taking Yaz (the birth control) this week. Starting today, I ve had pretty intense pain in my casted calf (left) that I feel whenever I straighten or try to put my left foot on the floor. Is that pain normal because the muscle isn t getting used, or maybe I pulled the muscle, or should I be worried about blood clots a side effect from the birth control? I ve never broken anything and I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so I don t know if I should be concerned. Thank you!

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Yaz is hormonal pill & slow acting & increases tendecy of thrombus formation when taken for a very long time.
So just taking one medication is not responsible for pain.
However you should start taking pills when you will be mobile & free of cast
Take care
