Could Irregular Period, Frequent Urination And Grey Hair Be Due To Doxy?
I was on doxy for several months while traveling and now, off it for about a month, my period is very irregular, I am up a lot at night to pee, and my hair has started to uncharacteristically gray. I m 27. Could these be a result of. the prolonged use of Doxy?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Use of Doxycycline could cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach upset and mild diarrhea. It can cause vaginal itching or discharge. It is not known to cause irregular period, frequent urination or grey hair. It would be better for you to get following hormonal levels tested in your blood. 1. FSH, LH and Prolactin. 2. Thyroid profile (FT3, FT4 and TSH). Kindly consult Physician with the report which would help to diagnose and treat your condition accordingly. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
