Could It Be HIV If Had Enlarged, White Taste Buds, Fatigue, Bone Aches After Having Oral Sex?
I got drunk and had oral sex with someone however they didnt discharge in my mouth. We tried anal sex but I felt uncomforatable and took it out so there was no discharge involved and it was in for no longer than 15 seconds Recently ive been quite tired and worn out I have enlarged taste buds at the back of my tounge and its quite white I also have an itchy anus Should I be worried about HIV? I went to the doctors and they diagnosed it as a throat infection and I got gave antibiotics. Previous to the occasion however I was taking alot of pain killers so could it be too much of them? Thanks My bones and joints also have been aching a little I am also stressed
First of all, HIV cannot be diagnosed only with the basis of symptoms. The chances of acquiring HIV occurs in 2 cases: 1. If your partner is affected with HIV 2. If there is any cut/raw surface in your mucosa through which the infection can spread.
If the above mentioned criteria doesn't hold true for your case, then there is no need to worry about getting HIV.
There are certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive. Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR. So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
