Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have just changed my dosage of venlafaxine as instructed by my consultant from instant release to slow release. Since I changed on Tuesday evening I have constantly been itching all over my body. Could this be a side effect? I could not see anything in the leaflet that came with venlafaxine.
Hello. If you were already taking venlafaxine, change from instant release to slow release,is not reason for the appearance of itching. Go to your doctor to evaluate other causes of itching. For now, Ebastine 10 mg twice a day can be taken for improve your itching. Please consult your doctor for a prescription. I wish you good health. (If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
