Could Itching Sensation And Headache Be Side Effects Of Ezetimibe?

hi I am a 63 yr old male and took 10 mg of ezetimibe about 1 hr ago I am on other meds for blood pressure and I also take statins and a blood thinner this is my 1st time taking this med and have noticed that I have a head ache and my eyes feel scratchy is this a possible side effect from this drug

Hi,

Ezetimibe is a drug used for cholesterol control. You have taken the first dose of this medicine the untoward effects.
- Head is reported to be one of the common side effect of the drug.
- Itching is not listed in its side effects.

You can be allergic to any of it's ingredient causing it. Please stop the drug, before you take next dose. In case of uncontrolled itching, a pill of antihistaminic drug (like Allegra) can be taken. Consult your prescribing doctor. He may change the medicine or its dose for the reaction.
