Could Knee Pain Be Caused Due To Side Effects OfRevelol Xl 50 And Olsar H 40mg?
Dear Dr,My mother (age 47) has high BP and doctor prescribed her Revelol xl 50 and Olsar H 40mg medicine. She is using this medicine since one year and now she is having severe pain in her right knee, and Dr said this is because of water formation in knee. Is this pain a side effect of the medicine she is using?Can you pls say the side effects of these medicines. This will be really helpful.Thank you.

Hi,
It is unlikely that Revelol xl 50 is the cause of knee pain, but Olsar H contains Hydrochlorothiazide which can promote Gout. Gout can cause acute inflammation of joints, including knee. Rarely it can manifest as chronic arthritis.
