Hello, I had a sexual intercourse on 3rd january and my partner felt that he ejaculted a bit inside me and within 15 hrs after intercourse I took idoze72 as prescribed by the doctor, a contraceptive pill and I was expecting my regular menstrual cycle on 8th jan but till date their is no sign of getting my periods. please help to get through this situation.so please help me in this situation I want to know that is this due to contraceptive , till when should we wait and what should we do in this situation to get rid off the situation Please help me I am extremely concerned about this situation.
According to your history, the possibility of pregnancy is less as you have taken emergency contraceptive pill within 15 hours of the intercourse, you can expect around 90 to 95% protection.
Emergency contraceptive pill due to the high dose of hormone in it, can alter the onset of menstrual cycle. If taken in the second half of the menstrual cycle as you have taken, it can delay the onset of menstrual period.
Please go for urine pregnancy test once. If test gives negative result, the possibility of pregnancy is less and you may get periods soon, you can wait up to one week from now.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
