Could Line Of Itchy Red Bumps On Stomach Be Due To Exposure To Chlorine?
So I have a line of red bumps across my stomach, I don t know what it is or how I got. They re itchy but not too bad. I was wondering could it be an allergic reaction to chlorine since I first noticed it after being in the pool, however they did get worse the following day, despite the lack of contact to chlorine?
As per your case history you are having insect bite most probably. Allergic rash due to chlorine is less likely to be linear and localized to abdomen. It is mostly generalized.
My treatment advice is: 1. Don't apply soap on that area while bathing to avoid further irritation. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine for itching.
The lesion will most probably subside in 7 to 10 days. If condition persists beyond it then consult a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
