Could Loss Of Hearing In The Left Ear Be Permanent After A Brain Surgery?
My husband had a brain bleed in March which resulted in surgery. It was successful. After getting home he has lost hearing in left ear opposit of the annurisym. Could this be permanent? We do have an appointment with his surgeon soon. Have had another Ct scan which showed no problem.
Sometimes it is seen in patients following brain surgery and it may be due to contusions and settle after few days. You can wait for few days and if symptoms persist, you can seek opinion from your neurosurgeon. Wishing you good health.
