Could Loss Of Sence Of Smell And Taste After Being Exposed To Bleach Be Permanent?
I cleaned my bathtub with bleach for at least 20 min, I used at a certain time a fan and after I noticed that I lost my smell/taste. It improved a bit in the last 2 hours...Could I have caused permanent damage? I don t use bleach on regular basis Thank you
hi, constant exposure to bleach (by it's chlorine) for prolonged periods can desensitize your olfactory nerves which may result in altered smell or loss of smell. It is generally reversible but can be permanent rarely. Hence, i suggest you to cover your nose while working and keep the areas of wash ventilated just to be on safe side.
