I am 43 yrs old with my 5th pregnancy,my last child was 11 yrs ago. At 26 weeks pegnet I was told I have low line placinta @ 2.4 intenal off and baby is tansverse position. Was told my my doctor no more testing is needed and will be able to deliver natural. Should I be worried about anything
I am guessing that you had ultrasound which showed you had a low lying placenta 2.5 cms away from internal os. Please correct me if I have misunderstood this.
Since this is your 5th pregnancy and ,again I am a assuming all your previous deliveries have been normal. The placenta will usually move away from the lower segment in the later weeks of pregnancy.Already at 26weeks it was 2.5 cm away ,so it is expected to be much more away from internal os at term. The fetal position usually stabilizes in the third trimester. You should get examined after 36 weeks by a gynaecologist to see the position of the baby ,is it head first or feet first. If the baby position is head first ,there should be no problem in you delivering vaginaly.
Regards.
