Could Lump On Left Side Of Throat Cause Any Problems During Pregnancy?
Im 11 weeks and 4 days. I noticed this morning that i have a lump on the left side of my throat and its a little painful to touch, probably about the size of a quarter if not a little smaller. Im worried it could affect my pregnancy. I currently have no tonsils they were removed 2 years ago.
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
There are many reasons for a lump in throat. The common causes are thyroid, swollen lymph nodes, inclusion cysts, jaw abscess and so on. It will need an examination for diagnosis. I suggest that you visit an ENT specialist [otorhinolaryngologist] for examination and confirming the cause of lump. I is better to get treated early as problems of thyroid and infections are best dealt with as earlier as possible during pregnancy.
I hope this was helpful. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
