Could Microlut Cause Semi Skipped Period?

Hi, I have only been on microlut for 2 months, my first period was about 5 days late, and I m normally regular as clockwork. This time around I had a darker discharge like I was getting my period for 2 days on the 32nd day, but since have not had a regular heavy period like the last one. I have had protected sex and can t see that I could possibly be pregnant, did a home pregnancy test and was negative on the 31st day. Could Microlut be the cause of a semi skipped period?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A slight alteration in the menstrual cycle is quite common with microlut.

Nothing much to worry and your periods will return to normal pattern in a couple of weeks.

If the periods are persistently irregular, you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated to rule out conditions like PCOS.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
