Could Missed Periods After Unprotected Sex Indicate Pregnancy?
Im 46 years old female. Just had uterine biopsy due to fibroids . Had my IUD removed during the procedure as well. I had unprotected sex with my husband and now missed my last period. I dis 4 pregnancy test packs and all showed negative. Im still worried that i could be pregnant?also, my skin feels hot to the touch.
Hello dear Understand your concern If you did sex in the fertile period of your menstruation cycle then may be chance of pregnancy. You have to do pregnancy test 10-12 days after missed the period or better to do blood HCG with in the 7 days of missed period for exact confirmation. In absence of pregnancy, it most commonly due to hormonal imbalance as you just removed the IUD. Once your body get adapted without the IUD then period will become regular. So consult the gynecologist and go for Blood HCG and reproductive hormone analysis to diagnose the hormonal imbalance. In absence of pregnancy, progesterone preparation should be given in second half of the cycle to induce the bleeding. Hope this may help you Contact HCM again for any query. Best regards DR. Sagar
