Could Missed Periods With Spotting Be A Normal Or Ectopic Pregnancy?

i have recently missed 2 periods and I am having symptoms of pregnancy. I am also at the stage i could be going through menopaus...i have had a tubal but i am concerned that may be pregnant and could be etopic but hoping for it to be a ormal pregnancy if it is. I have had in the 2 months that i missed a period just one spotting of blood for 1 days which was last month? any suggestions or what can be the problem?

Hallow Dear,

At menopausal age, missing a period is indeed confusing. Spotting for a day can be ignored and considered as missing a period.

It is not clear from your statement 'I had tubal...' whether you mean tubal pregnancy or tubal ligation. If you had tubal ligation, you cannot be pregnant and these could be menopausal irregularity.

Please perform pregnancy test on the urine. By this time it would be definitely reliable. If the pregnancy test is negative, you are not pregnant and these are menopausal menstrual irregularities. If the pregnancy test reports positive, you are pregnant. Then get ultrasonography done. If the sac is seen in the uterine cavity, your pregnancy is normal. If the uterine cavity is empty, then you are having ectopic pregnancy and you need to report to your Gynaecologist ASAP.

I hope this helps you today.
